Help in setting the evaluation of Wikimania Esino Lario
editHi Kacie, for Wikimania Esino Lario we have a meeting this Sunday about objectives and strategy. Wikimania London has been evaluated this year and we would like to detail what we are focusing on to make sure the evolution is actually clearly related to our objectives (for example: our objective is not to increase the number of participants to Wikimania - so if we do not have 70'000 participants is fine because we are not aiming at it not working on it). Here are our objectives and evaluation plan. What do you think? can you maybe provide us some feedback and suggestions? In particular it would be extremely valuable your help in preparing the survey and maybe having a look at the indicators to see if they are sufficiently precise. This Sunday we will discuss about what we can head for in the middle and long run (i.e. contributing to freedom of panorama in Italy, Wiki Loves Monuments, improving the management of priviate accommodation in Esino Lario...) - basically we will focus on our third objective. Personally I always consider that the most important indicator of success is when someone else takes the lead and copies ideas you contributed to launch: when you are not needed anymore – it might be personally challenging but – it is the real winning. Thank you so much for your advice or to put us in contact with the right person. my warm regards, --iopensa (talk) 09:36, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hi iopensa, thank you for your message. JAnstee (WMF) should be able to answer your questions. KHarold (WMF) (talk) 18:30, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
Learning patterns
editKacie, great work on these. I see this as critical information infrastructure for raising the skill-level of Wikimedians involved in programmatic work—and therefore the quality and impact of funding. Tony (talk) 09:12, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
Derek whatever he calls himself
editI am on the verge of creating a lot of fuss about your GAC member. I don't expect to return to a PEG page to find that I've been roundly abused. I want to be able to trust that this won't happen again. Tony (talk) 13:47, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
Congratulations!!!
editHi Harold, WUGN wishes to felicitate with you on your confirmation as permanent staff of WMF. Also, i thank you for the message you dropped on my talk page for the Wiki Tour Photo, Nigeria. We have effected the changes per your recommendations. Best Regards Olaniyan Olushola (talk) 05:23, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
Concerns about Wiki Photo Tours in Nigeria
editPursuant to I JethroBT (WMF)'s announcement Wikicology can not serve as a project coordinator. Upon cursory examination of Olaniyan Olushola's Wikimedia Commons uploads he continues to disregard copyright. Is there any evidence that the other five project coordinators are willing and able to abide by Wikimedia Commons' copyright policies? This project should be de-funded until concerns about all project coordinators have been allayed. Page Planet (talk) 23:34, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for engaging at Wikimedia Conference 2016 Learning Days!
editFor your hard work on templates... =)
edit@KHarold (WMF):, for your stand against adversity in the creation / modification of templates, for your honour and bravery facing wiki markup, I hereby hand you the Template Ninja Barnstar, first handed to me by Pine, and distributed in the wikiverse to awesome people, just like yourself.
May it serve you well in times of "Why-doesn't-this-thing-do-what-I-want-it-to-do", and help you remember to markup through.
Yours truly, María (WMF) (talk) 18:24, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
Concerns about Foundation grant
editI left some concerns regarding a grant that was approved on its talk page. Would you be willing to respond?--The Devil's Advocate (talk) 23:11, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
What is LSE
editHello Kacie, what does LSE stands for? You use that in your user page, but I don't think it's explained. --Psychoslave (talk) 11:44, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
- Kacie hold a M.sc degree in Social Policy and International Development in London in 2012. Thus, "LSE" is probably "London School of Economics". All the best. Wikicology (talk) 19:54, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Psychoslave, thank you for your question. Wikicology is correct, LSE stands for London School of Economics and Political Science. I should update my user page to show the full name. Cheers, --KHarold (WMF) (talk) 17:49, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

Share your experience and feedback as a Wikimedian in this global survey
editHello! The Wikimedia Foundation is asking for your feedback in a survey. We want to know how well we are supporting your work on and off wiki, and how we can change or improve things in the future.[survey 1] The opinions you share will directly affect the current and future work of the Wikimedia Foundation. You have been randomly selected to take this survey as we would like to hear from your Wikimedia community. To say thank you for your time, we are giving away 20 Wikimedia T-shirts to randomly selected people who take the survey.[survey 2] The survey is available in various languages and will take between 20 and 40 minutes.
You can find more information about this project. This survey is hosted by a third-party service and governed by this privacy statement. Request for planning a writing contest
editDear, Madam. In Tamil wikipedia we are going to conduct a contest. The prizes are distributed for top 10 users for a contest, For this can you give me some rules that participants should follow? What are the limits we can set to the participants to obtains prizes? (The one who have to get the prize should create at least xxxx articles in the project period.)
- In our wiki we have 250 translated articles,
- 25 000 wanted articles,
- 50 featured articles.
So can we include these in the competition? Can you give a perfect score system to judge the contest? The contest may occur for 8 months, or a year or 15 months. Waiting for your reply.--Shriheeran (talk) 08:32, 10 February 2017 (UTC)

Grant report table column widths
editHi Kacie and Alex. I noticed that the Template:Project/Rapid/Report/Table/Header1 prevents visualeditor from being used when writing grant reports and forces the outcomes column to be quire narrow. Since reports are generated via preloading a page anyway, could this be replaces with a normal table? T.Shafee(Evo﹠Evo)talk 00:39, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
