editBonjour
Comment souhaite tu t'impliquer ? Qu'est-ce qui t'intéresserait de faire ? Au niveau technique ? Test/debug ? Contenu ? Promotion ? Etc. Explique ! Merci Anthere (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:11, 14 July 2016 (UTC).
Bonjour Anthere,

Merci Anthere (talk) 23:22, 16 July 2016 (UTC)
Bonjour Anthere, Cette conversation date de très longtemps. C'est en relisant mes notifications sur Meta que je suis tombé sur le message. Dis-moi si ça tient toujours ce projet. Je peux m'en occuper volontiers. Merci --Mah3110 (talk) 12:37, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Help wanted for global templates
editYou have shown support for global templates in the past. Staff of the Wikimedia Foundation view this change as big. We need to convince the Wikimedia Foundation to start working on this. We have to reassure them there is sufficient support by local project communities.
You can help move this forward.
Please do setup a page on the local projects you are (most) active on in the language of the project. Tell your fellow editors why you believe global templates are necessary. Follow the local project decision process to come to a discussion outcome as support or not. There is plenty of time for discussion. Please reach a conclusion before the end of April 2021.
Please translate the coordinating page on meta to languages you are proficient in. Gathering support from local projects for global templates
Please add a line to this meta page with a link to a discussion page on your local project(s).
The goal is to have the Wikimedia Foundation include a program to develop infrastructure for global templates in their 2021/2022 Annual Plan. The Wikimedia Foundation will decide on the Annual Plan in May/June this year.
The aim is to have several dozen local project communities to show support, and little concerns, issues or objections. Of course, any project can continue to use their local templates.
When you have questions about this initiative you can reach me at ad huikeshoven.org or + 31 6 40293574, and also on Telegram and Signal. You can also raise questions on the talk page on meta. Maybe some people would like to discuss this initiative in a meeting. Please let me know whether you would like to join a Zoom meeting in February.
Regards,

Fon Wikipedia (Wp/fon)
editHello,
I would like to support you in Fon Wikipedia though I have basic knowledge of Fon but I could read your texts. Some corrections you should make are as follows:
- Wexwɛ (page)
- Wema (book)
I am reaching out to you because this change will affect renaming of the main page and on transltewiki. Thanks. --Samatics (talk) 06:49, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Thanks for your interest. Appreciated!
- In the web context here, page is not Wexwɛ.
- Usually, page (page of a book) in fon is Akpa. Our approach is not translating "by words" but "By context".
- Please provide a full sentence with those terms and I can also ask the fon community to discuss.
- Thanks Mah3110 (talk) 10:57, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- See the examples below:
- Kpɔ́n "Encyclopedia Britannica", Akpáxwé 2gɔ́ ɔ, wexwɛ 72 jɛ 73.
- Ði kpɔ́ndéwú ɔ, a sixu vɔ́ xóta elɔ lɛ gbéjé kpɔ́n: wemata 5gɔ́ wema "Makers of Modern Africa" tɔn.
- Akpáxwé (Volume, edition, part or paragraph), wema (book), wexwɛ (page), wemata(chapter)....Please note that you don't have to check the book mentioned in my example statement. It's just a way to show how the words are used.
- Please always ping me or mention my username here for me to respond quickly. Thanks.--Samatics (talk) 03:28, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Samatics
- Thanks for the feedback. This makes sense when it comes to physical books. Wikipedia is a website first, even if we call it Encyclopedia.
- Taking into account the context, a wikipedia page means a wikipedia article.
- Then we decide to use Nuwlawlan for a wiki page.
- PS: You should also take into account this (the context) when translating into gungbé. Lot of translations out of context there. Once I will have done with Fon, I will show you more about those gungbé terms.
- Thanks Mah3110 (talk) 12:11, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- Please always ping me or mention my username here for me to respond quickly. Thanks.--Samatics (talk) 03:28, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- I understand your point of translating using "context" and not "words". If we are considering the website context then the main page(Home page) will be called "BǏBƐ̌MƐ" in Fon or "BẸJẸEJI (BƐJƐEJI)" in gungbe. While "article" in Fon is xóta and "hosọ" in gungbe. In translating gungbe, where a translator made mistake in translating using "words" rather than "context", I tried to correct. Please I am open to you showing me gungbe terms in which words and not context were used. I can't see it all.
- It took us hard time to decide that Wikipedia is more of a book than a website. It is an online encyclopedia. And we tried to understand both the English and Yoruba translation of some complex terms. You could gain from the French translation of "main page" (Accueil) which is "bǐbɛ̌mɛ" in Fon if you see Wikipedia as a website. Your community is at liberty to choose what they will understand about the interface. I am just providing support and I will like to see Fongbe Wikipedia a reality too. Thanks.--Samatics (talk) 14:27, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Samatics,
- We are setting up a community process to decide on such things in the future.
- I appreciate your help, but please for now, do not change any Fon translation done on translatewiki without consulting anyone.
- Thanks Mah3110 (talk) 23:25, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
- Noted with thanks.--Samatics (talk) 01:14, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

[Small wiki toolkits] Final feedback survey
editHello! You are receiving this message as you have attended a small wiki toolkit workshop this year. If you missed attending our last feedback session on the small wiki toolkits workshops, here is a short survey that you could fill out to let us know your technical learning needs and ideas and suggestions for improving the workshop format for the next year. Quinzaine des autrices francophones
editHi, Mah3110 we have a conflicting date for central notices in March between Le mois de la contribution francophone and la Quinzaine des autrices. I wonder how we can solve this as this is the first time ever that I do such a request. Would it be possible to run your campaign earlier and let have the notice from 18 march onward for one week ? Natacha LSP (talk) 10:32, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
- Bonjour @Natacha LSP,
- Merci
