Thanks for the updates but now from the description I can't tell what this extension does at all, e.g. compared to Special:PageLanguage (for mw:page content language). From the previous description it looked like the extension was about allowing to connect pages with arbitrary page titles, rather than just following mw:Extension:Translate's standard of language code subpages. Is that still the case? --Nemo 08:41, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry that it took me so long to answer. Yes, instead of using subpages with an language code as suffix the MultiLanguageManager extension allows to specify pages as variants of each other. I will update the extension page to make this more clear. Btw. thanks for the hint to mw:page content language. Maybe MultiLanguageManager can build upon the
page.page_lang
table in future, to avoid duplicate data structures. ATM MediaWikis build in features seem to only affect stuff like "ltr/rtl", but do not provide anything like a navigation between variants. --Osnard (talk) 09:58, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
