Thanks for the message of welcome. Thank you so much, Ottava Rima. (from the name, you seem you are Italian..sei Italiana?) :)--Larry87 09:35, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm a poet/poetry critic. But I have studied medieval Italian (and the uses of ottava rima therein). :) Ottava Rima (talk) 13:25, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

How can you post on my talk page if you can't edit? Obviously, you can edit and you are capable of editing correctly. Ottava Rima 17:29, 28 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

"removing link to deleted content, please do not replace"

Hi, why shouldn't we have access to this content? --Tom 15:38, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Because it was deleted. You cannot repost deleted content. Linking to it at meta would not be appropriate, especially when Foundation related authority has been evoked to establish that the material is not appropriate for the Wikis. Ottava Rima (talk) 15:41, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Revenge

edit

I really hope that this edit to Guillom's talk page was not the result of him opposing your RfA. If so, that it is in terrible taste. That said, I am assuming good faith here...maybe there is a more logical explanation? Tiptoety talk 16:39, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

It was based on hostility, rudeness, and inappropriate conduct by him in IRC. The program above was set up by me to thank outstanding Stewards and I do not feel that Thogo's and Jyothis's good deeds should be tarnished by being compared with such behavior as that. Hi, thank you for the welcome. I probably won't be very active on here: I concentrate more on Wikipedia and Commons, but I spotted the way the help guide was written regarding the change to Vector and saw it needed a slightly less sarcastic tone. Hope to see you around. Cloudbound 13:27, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Grifter72

edit

User was blocked on it.wiki following his intimidating behaviour, see here and here. It's not possible to have GFDL images removed, since they are irrevocably released. In any case, his speech is deliberately ambiguous and also refers to people using own personal data as to pursue his requests. This is clearly unacceptable and that is the reason of the block. --M/ 21:59, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I do not have any conflict of interest, as you could have easily checked. Legal threats was on another sysop page. Personal data improperly used is from another user. Anyway, should you think that my block is inappropriate you can apply to another Steward or open a Request for Comment. Thank you, M/ 22:32, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Moreover, the user did not write an "appeal", he was reminding me that he/she wants his (?) images deleted. --M/ 22:35, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
No, I'm not going to lift the block, since ribadendo la mia volontà means reaffirming my will, so it's a procrastination of the legal threats. --M/ 22:37, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
It's just an ambiguous speech, underlined by the question "Questo significa che non intendi rimuoverle?" (This means that you do intend to remove them?). In any case, the user could easily write to OTRS queue (info-it(at).wikimedia.org) in case he/she intends to further explain his will. --M/ 22:45, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Your point (the user is correct) is only leaving out a written legal threat, that is being resumed out of the blue after a year. Your point is also missing that his/her "kind enquiry" starts listing some user's private data. I do not think that this is acceptable on meta.wiki and I've already told you that you can write down an unblock request to any Steward of your choice. --M/ 22:58, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thank you. --M/ 23:05, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Arrrrgh, I did not know that user's name DOB etc were publicy available. Sorry. I'm unblocking the user ASAP here on meta (not on it.wiki, there the block depends on his actions). --M/ 23:12, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot for pointing out my fault deductions. Please advice him/her that some problems can still arise from the global account that I've inadvertently deleted. I'm asking right now for help from a dev. --M/ 23:20, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much for your welcome message. Enjoy your 1st of May .--Bellavista1957 08:30, 1 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, and you too. Ottava Rima (talk) 12:57, 1 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I write often in Wikipedia Farsi. Unfortunately, there are many problems with Admins in Wikipedia Farsi. They have developed their own rules and regulations that are very far from those of in Wikipedia English. Those authors who are not in line with their rules and regulations and their political view, will be blocked completely for days, weeks and even months. Could you be of help or do you know any Steward or other Wikipedia official who could be of help to authors of Wikipedia Farsi. There should be an independent oversight to investigate and follow up the behaviour of Admins in Wikipedia Farsi. Special help and investigation is needed when an author is being blocked. There should be a contact from international community to review the decision of the Admins and their behaviours. --Bellavista1957 11:43, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ottava Rima has the right to express h*s opposite opinion and other users has done it now. It shouldn't been taken away, right? The restoring by Ottava Rima were totaly correct? Obelix 20:23, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
It's obvious that Ottawa Rima is a troll. 95.209.56.98 21:11, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

OR, I can understand petitioners wish to not have negative comments added to their petition, and that has some level of reasonableness as a petition by its definition supports one position. One would see that there is the reverse position, which what you may be considering is a Petition in support of Jimbo, or like, which would hopefully be treated with the same equity and respect by all parties to express the counterview. billinghurst sDrewth 02:55, 9 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
