Welcome to Meta!

Hello Palnatoke, and welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). If you would like, feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. Happy editing! --Abigor talk 21:42, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Translator, We need you!
editDear Palnatoke,
You have helped us in previous years with translations and for that we are most grateful. Now we turn towards the 2011/12 fundraiser. It may seem forever away, but work has already begun getting everything ready to go. This year we want to have landing pages covering as many countries in as many languages as possible.
Right now, we want to figure out who is interested in translating for the fundraiser. This year we're hoping to have more of a solidified "core" group of translators that we can count on to have work done by a few key dates, but we'd also welcome help from people who are willing to just help out when they can.
If you would be interested please take a look at this little sign-up survey and fill it out http://survey.wikimedia.org/index.php?sid=13638&newtest=Y&lang=en. With that we can start building a list of people and filling any gaps in the languages we serve.
Many Thanks

Wikimedia Chapters Survey
editHej Ole!
I would like to invite you and your chapter to take a part in a survey on WM Chapters. As I briefly explained there, it is an effort agreed during WCA meetings, taken to start gathering information about us and present it visibly. For the moment, information about chapters is scattered, and often missing - and even people wanting to highlight the chapters, build more bridges between them, create some benchmarks and share solutions are lacking data about all the local entities. Please help me in showing your Chapter! :)
First presentation will be given in Hong Kong. Further hopefully will come.
I know it is an additional work and the survey is far from being perfect, but someone needed to start it. Survey can be responded on a dedicated meta subpage or in other form if it is more suitable for the chapter. Your subpage is here.
Thanks for your help!
Help with Danish translations
editDear Palnatoke, I am contacting you to thank you for your help translating the 'Thank you email' that we send to our donors into Danish. I highly appreciate the time and efforts you spent on this. Our Danish fundraiser is starting in less than two weeks, and we are still in need of some help to translate and proofread texts in Danish to be sure we have quality translations. If you have a few minuted to spare, I would highly appreciate it if could help us translate the following text into Danish.
https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-Fundraising%2FTranslation%2FEmail+1&language=da&filter=translated&action=translate This is an email that is sent out to past donors.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email jrobell@wikimedia.org. Thank you very much for your support.
Kind regards, Jrobell (talk) 16:41, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
Superprotect status
editDear Palnatoke, since you are an administrator on a wiki from which no user participated in this discussion, I'd like to make sure you are aware of some recent events which may alter what the Wikimedia Foundation lets you do on your wiki: Superprotect.
- Request for comment: Requests for comment/Superprotect rights
- An open letter about its implementation: Letter to Wikimedia Foundation: Superprotect and Media Viewer
Added string
editThanks for your translation to Danish. By doing that you made me realize I needed a better system to switch between languages so I had to add another string to translate. Could you do that one to so that Danish can be complete? Ainali (talk) 19:44, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
