Hello, you tried to create an opt-in page for X!'s edit counter, but you created it in the wrong namespace. I have requested deletion of Sicaspi/EditCounterGlobalOptIn.js, but you can create User:Sicaspi/EditCounterGlobalOptIn.js if you want to opt-in to detailed statistics. Since I'm not a member of the Language committee, I cannot answer you with certainty ; but I can tell you it can take a while before the committee analyze the request as eligible and even more time to approved or rejected the request. Three months is pretty short, especialy when there is a debate like this one.

So, if an idea doesn't belong on one single wiki, and it meets the mission/vision/scope of WMF wikis, then meta is the place to have it located. Meta:About is a good page to read about this place. Re the specifics, if it is a shared exercise, then it could belong in the main namespace, if it is personal, then your user pages are indeed the place for it to be. The normal restrictive provisions of privacy, identification, vilification, … that we expect in a community naturally apply. If you keep within those bounds, then you can pretty well edit unhindered, we are pretty relaxed here as long as it is not abuse or clear misuse.  — billinghurst sDrewth 01:58, 4 April 2014 (UTC)

Open Call for Individual Engagement Grants

Greetings! The Individual Engagement Grants (IEG) program is accepting proposals until April 12th to fund new tools, research, outreach efforts, and other experiments that enhance the work of Wikimedia volunteers. Whether you need a small or large amount of funds (up to $30,000 USD), IEGs can support you and your team’s project development time in addition to project expenses such as materials, travel, and rental space.

Wikipedia Library User Group is being renamed!

Hello! In the past few months, the Wikipedia Library User Group has been undergoing some major planning and developments. We just finished our very first open call with the user group members, which was a great success (see the meeting minutes). If you joined us during the meeting, we’d like to thank you for your interest. If not, not to worry, we have lots of things planned for the user group in which you can participate.

This message is to inform you that based on the input received from the user group members and the founding members, it was agreed that the Wikipedia Library User Group’s name be reconsidered by a voting process. Hi everyone, two quick but important updates:

Timeline for nominations and voting

• Nominations are extended until 12 January 2018.
• Candidates will be lightly vetted by the Founding Members (excluding those who are candidates) to help form a well-functioning committee.
• Vetting will happen from the 13th up to 21 January 2018.
• Voting will begin on the 22nd of January and end on the 4th of February.
• To be able to vote, editors must have joined the usergroup before the 21st of January.
• Results will be announced on or before the 10th of February.

What's new from the Wikimedia and Libraries User Group

Hi Sicaspi! Greetings from the Wikimedia and Libraries User Group. Yes, you heard that right! We are now officially known as the Wikimedia and Libraries User Group (previously, Wikipedia Library User Group). New group contacts are User:Merrilee and User:Sodapopinski7. The elected steering committee has been meeting twice a month ever since their election, working on the organisation and details of user group functioning. Progress is being made and we'd like to keep the members updated.

• The steering committee invites you to participate in this poll to help the committee plan activities this year.

• The committee decided to use the librarieslists.wikimedia.org and has started making announcements on the list. Please join the list for future announcements and for internal discussions and communications.
