"Hide" / "Help us with translations!"
editHey Valodnieks, thanks for translating the notices for the Licensing update notice into Interlingue! However, we don't have a translation for "Hide" and "Help us with translations!" (other languages already had it, yours did not :-(). Would you mind translating it here? Thanks! Cbrown1023 talk 22:39, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Hey Cbrown123. Of course I can, please tell where I can translate it! Valodnieks 16:40, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
The additional two items are translated now and can be posted. Valodnieks 15:10, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Superprotect status
editDear Valodnieks, since you are an administrator on a wiki from which no user participated in this discussion, I'd like to make sure you are aware of some recent events which may alter what the Wikimedia Foundation lets you do on your wiki: Superprotect.
- Request for comment: Requests for comment/Superprotect rights
- An open letter about its implementation: Letter to Wikimedia Foundation: Superprotect and Media Viewer
rights
editApologies for my late reply. I see you've made the request. Pundit (talk) 15:11, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- The rights have been granted for ieWP for three months. If you wish to extend the rights then please ask for that extension to your community a couple of weeks prior to the expiry, then come back to SRP and point to the follow-up conversation. If you use IRC then please let me know your IRC nick and we can organise your access to the #wikimedia-admin channel, alternatively @Barras:. Good luck with your role, and don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion if you feel challenged. — billinghurst sDrewth 02:30, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Valodnieks. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Valodnieks~metawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
