Technical requirements

The Arts are a C.O.R.E. (Communication Often Relies on Expression) character of the human race. Ancient cultures the world over had developed their arts out of socialization needs not wants.

As an example the Mayan's had developed the Mayan Calendar, more accurate than today's Gregorian Calendar. Yet to communicate "how' the calendar worked a Sculpture/Artist was required to communicate the calendars function in society. Once the calendar exited the 'design' phase it became a CORE part of the Mayan Culture. While keeping this thought, societies often rely on 'written' words, yet we often forget 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. This is a clear example of how Art and Design are a necessity in the human race and it simply cannot be in the 'forget' part of our minds, souls or cultures.

Without art where would society be?

I love using wikimedia resources, yet as an artist (love creating logos), this is not possible. Sure I can look up definitions of 'key words' or art based topics. But I can't use a 'wikimedia' based wiki core content to learn a given artistic talent. I am not suggesting 'advanced' topics of art. What I am suggesting is a first step of providing 'The Basics' of a given artful expression.
