- online, 12 December 2024: The online workshop Free licences in public service broadcasting took place for the first time. The follow-up format to the round table is intended to inspire new broadcasters for the project by presenting existing partnerships and discussing the potential and challenges. There was also a presentation of Wiki Loves Broadcast, in which the current status of the project, the work of the WLB team and ideas for future development were presented.
- Katowice, 10 August 2024: At the 19th Wikimania, the internationalisation of the project was again promoted and it was explained in concrete terms what activities the international community can carry out and what best practices exist that can be implemented in other countries. As a result, the international Telegram group has grown to around 60 community members who want to promote the topic in their countries.
- Berlin, 19 April 2024: The first meeting with Wiki Loves Broadcast participants from outside the German-speaking world was held at the Wikimedia Deutschland office with Wikimedians successfully recruited at Wikimania 2023, and the further process of internationalisation was discussed.
- Bonn, 18 December 2023: With Deutsche Welle's explanatory videos on the human body in Arabic, English and Spanish, a German broadcaster is making video material available in another language than German on Wikimedia Commons for the first time.
- Singapore, 19 August 2023: At the 18th Wikimania under the motto "Diversity. Collaboration. Future.", Wikiolo and Jan-David Franke (WMDE) presented the "Wiki Loves Broadcast" project to the international Wikipedia community for the first time and promoted the internationalisation of cooperation with public broadcasters.
