Wikiengine
Search engine offer is monopolized by Google, a profit oriented company. As a result the experience of web search is subject to bias and manipulation. Google prevalence can only be replaced by voluntary effort of a dedicated community. Its effort will sustain and offer a yet powerful and free search engine based in opensource software that accomplishes with wikimedia standards.

edit- Strong oppose I dont think this is needed... this would be one of the projects that would have been successful if published right after the creation of the web. Right now, google and bing serve this purpose good enough. Those engines have greatly functional equipment and an optimal technological performance. and much greater questions arise... how will we display the engine... we obviously cannot use the current format. But we could always create and engine that would help us find the article inside wikimedia. but that would just be a waste of hosting. ArepTicous talkcontribs 14:24, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose There's so many search engines already. Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 13:24, 21 October 2019 (UTC)

- Oppose. To find what? Articles, texts, definitions, travel guides, manuals, quotes, proverbs or news? For that we have Wikipedia, Wikisource, Wiktionary, Wikivoyage, Wikibooks,, Wikiquote and Wikinews. --NGC 54 (talk | contribs) 07:44, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
