Regional hub covering Central and Eastern Europe

During the Year 1 of the CEE Hub project implementation we proposed reallocation which were accepted by the WMF and thereafter a separate budget item for freelancers was introduced. The CEE Hub subsequently contracted two freelancers, Biyanto from Indonesia and Violeta Frimu-Patel from Moldova. Biyanto Rebin worked on mapping almost every language community in the Central and Eastern Europe (Community Mapping and Data) while Violeta Frimu is doing a research about functioning and development of smaller (and sometimes less organised) CEE communities (Studying barriers).

In the second year, CEE Hub worked on the research of the Tools through a survey which was conducted during August 2024. We received 44 responsed from more than 20 different communities. Overview of this research you can find here.
