  • --Rina.sl (talk) 17:10, 21 September 2024 (UTC). I'm a Ukrainian Wikipedian and a huge Eurovision fan. I'm watching Eurovision all my life, since I remember myself (so, it's around from 2004). Actually Eurovision helped me a lot to learn the map of Europe, capital cities, flags, international relationships between countries, economy, spoken languages of the country and so one. And I'm very grateful for my parents for sharing the Eurovision love with me. One of my brightest childhood memories is about watching Eurovision together with parents. That year I was a small child, might be studying in the primary school. My parents were trying to predict which country will give 12 points to which. And they couldn't remember the neighbour country, so my father was searching for the pocket atlas in the room and the rest of the voting ceremony that year we were watching holding the map of Europe in our hands. That moment gave me a huge wish to study geography and so one, as I mentioned above. I continue watching Eurovision right now as well. My family and friends are living in different cities and countries now and we have lost connection woth some of them, but when the Eurovision comes - we always chat and discuss each performance. As a Eurovision fan, I read a lot of news and interviews about each singer, watch national selections and bloggers reviews. Also during the Eurovision active time and during the CEE spring competition usually I create and update actively articles about Eurovision topic in Ukrainian. I will be happy to be a part of the group of Eurovision fans Wikimedians and I'll try to support actively the group activities.[reply]
