- Personal info: Hi, a Diff blog post about my past 15 years as a steward has recently been published. This summarizes pretty much what I've been doing and still do for the stewards: Nowadays mainly organizational stuff in the background, like representing the Wikimedia Stewards User Group at the Wikimedia Summit, writing its report, sharing knowledge in calls and the internal wiki, and such. But recently, I could also rejoin IRC (besides being available on other messengers) after some technical issues which also increased my global anti-vandalism activities once again, although much of this is not logged publicly anyways. I'm looking forward to the next term, thank you for your feedback.

- Unfortunately Remove. I see very little steward works outside of Meta rights. For the last few years, I have always preferred to support even if I had similar opinions. Thank you very much for your long-term stewardship and effort on Meta rights. --Uncitoyentalk 12:35, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Uncitoyen: Just for clarification: The reason that you cannot see them is caused by the fact that they are in non-public logs. Those who have access can find there a three digit number of steward actions. :) Please also note the non-logged steward work as indicated in my statement which consumes a lot of time, too. But maybe I misunderstood that you are worried about my activity because that would neither be right nor fair. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 13:00, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- In the previous few years, such as 2020-2022, I supported you according to your long-term stewardship and pandemic situations for eveyone. You can do many activities in the background such as IRC, VRTS, steward user group, thanks for those. In the past confirmartions, non very active stewards on public logs choose to resign or community removed their rights. For this year, some stewards have submitted their resignations that have limited public logs as you. It can be unfair to them if I support you this year. It seems to me that your local user rights in Meta are fine, but your public steward logs are very limited except January 2023. --Uncitoyentalk 15:36, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Uncitoyen: Once again: This is not true. Of course, you can vote whatever you like. But I am not inactive and I kindly ask you to stop saying that as this is very disrespectful to me and my work as a steward on those various levels where I fill the gaps within the stewards team (not every steward has to be a mass spambot locking or OP range blocking guy; the inactivity policy for stewards defines clearly what inactivity means, and I'm doing more than ten times as many actions). To sum up, I have made clear what my focus as a steward has been, spend a lot of time for my steward activities and I have explained what has changed in January: an additional focus on helping out on IRC once again. Thank you, —DerHexer (Talk) 16:19, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- This is not disrespectful to you. According to the steward policy, you aren't inactive directly. I only see dozens public steward logs for you as you said. For years, public logs have been one of the evaluation criteria for confirmation by me. In the past years, even if there were no 0 logs for 6 months, have inactive comments for some stewards despite hundreds of logs, also other reasons are stated. examples: Stewards/Confirm/2015/Shizhao Stewards/Confirm/2016/Taketa Stewards/Confirm/2017/Bennylin --Uncitoyentalk 16:40, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- Of course I do find this this disrespectful because it's too short-sighted as I have explained to you. And usually, people apologize when they were proven wrong instead of keeping their false claims. As said, my situation is totally different to the examples you were giving when people didn't show many other activities besides logged actions. But here it's on your end that you only take some logged actions into concern and neither respect my explanations nor other engagement for this group in general. Do you need confirmation of other stewards that both my claims are right, being very active in steward governance as well as having non-logged actions besides the fair amount of public actions? Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 16:55, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- FTR, I can confirm at least as much as that DerHexer always handles the lockhide requests I have been sending them privately for almost two years, which makes up for quite a large number of accounts, all not publicly logged. ~~~~

- But even worse, it's demotivational for those who spend their time in the backgrounds to fill the gaps, wherever they might be. And as said in the Diff blog, there's been a huge gap of governance within the stewards group although this topic is extremely important to keep the group going, not to speak of improving. We badly need motivated people in this field of work. Therefore, I am very happy that we've got some good new folks like ACN and Vermont in the last election who also spend dozens of times on this topic. Before they joined, we were less than a handful of people who ever (!) did anything about it, with me being one of the most active ones here ever since. And it's even harder to improve things when you feel alone, but always tried and still try to do my best here and help wherever help is needed (calls, scrutinization, committees, outreach, chats with WMF, reports, etc.). —DerHexer (Talk) 17:15, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- As I said. Again thank you very much for your background works and steward works for years, however my opinion will probably be this. --Uncitoyentalk 17:28, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- Respectfully, I must reject your thanks as you I still don't get the feeling that seem to understand or value them as reliable steward work. I can only encourage you to fix your evaluation criteria for confirmation towards activity and learn more about steward activities in general. Thank you, —DerHexer (Talk) 17:33, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you them when I call the stewards for urgent action, my questions from IRC or email. If you look at my comments over the years, I appreciate and evaluate the public logs and offline efforts of the stewards in confirmations. This is nothing personal oppose towards you. Thanks. --Uncitoyentalk 18:01, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- Actions speak more than words. It would have been more valid and less irrational if it had been personal instead of repeating wrong facts. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 18:18, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
