I just found w:en:User:BrandonXLF/Invert and it's not mentioned in the wishlist discussion, so I'm mentioning here. It seems to function by adding code to your common.css each time it is toggled (I didn't make that edit manually). (ping @BrandonXLF: in case I'm mistaken, and FYI. :) Quiddity (talk) 22:04, 1 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

No updates?

Somehow I see the updates section still blank. Are there delays or something? George Ho (talk) 08:51, 30 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Dark mode userscript available

edit

Dark-mode userscript by myself, Volker E. (WMF) and other Wikimedia Foundation folks involved, is available for testing. Note, that it's not officially maintained currently! –Volker E. (WMF) (talk) 20:19, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why desktop first?

edit

Dark mode is a great idea that is long overdue. I agree with just about everything here except the desktop first prioritization. More users come to wikis through mobile, and dark themes are quite popular on mobile apps. Flounder ceo (talk) 12:50, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Community_Tech/Status_report_for_2019_wishlist#Night_Mode Interesting points. It sounds like the dark mode would place too much extra demand on the caching system. Makes sense. Flounder ceo (talk) 04:47, 27 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
