Request reason: IP address is 5.135.71.96 block ID is #39310 I am user [Feuerrabe] on de.wikipedia and certainly no vandal. Why am I blocked? I haven't even edited anything today. I am accessing the internet from an open wifi connection in a hostel atm and not my usual connection, maybe that is the problem?

Decline reason: The IP in question as part of a rangeblock on an open proxy. Unfortunately, due to issues from this range and the fact it is an open proxy, we can not remove the rangeblock at this time. Is it possible for you to edit from a different IP address? I will be accessing the internet from that particular proxy again over the next few months, I don't have any other access points in Berlin. Can't you unblock locked in users for that address? It's an open wifi in a hostel, vandals would obviously not bother to get an account. I meant to take part in the writing contest on German Wikipedia which runs this month, but couldn't, because of this block. Extremely frustrating. --Feuerrabe (talk) 08:45, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
Proxy blocks are usually hardblocks, meaning they disable editing for logged-in users. Additionally, we rarely grant IP-block exempt to users editing via proxies unless there is a substantial reason (such as users in countries that block access to Wikipedia). Lastly, you are requesting an unblock of a local block. This specific block on meta should not prevent you from editing on the German Wikipedia. If you believe you are being affected by a global block, please file a request at Steward requests/Global. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 01:24, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Dear participant!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for participating in Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month 2022! We are grateful for your willingness to share free knowledge about the people and culture of Ukraine when it is needed the most.

As promised, the organizers want to appreciate your contribution by awarding you a certificate of participation. Please wait for further notifications from me on that issue.

What comes to prizes: because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there could be delays in shipping, however, we will definitely get back soon with more information on that.

Take care and stay safe.-- ValentynNefedov (WMUA) (talk) 09:18, 4 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
