Fundraising translation feedback

edit

Hey Lantuszka,

I wanted to ask for your help. As you may be aware we have been running banners on many language wikis. We have a lot of new content this year and I really want to conduct a thorough review of our translations. This is a combination of feedback from the community, readers, donors as well as those with professional translator experience. This will help us ensure the highest quality of translations used in our messaging.

To help us out with this I wonder if you would be willing to give us feedback for Polish using This Link

Simply follow the simple instructions on that page and if you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page.

Many Thanks

Thank you for participation in Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month!

edit

Hi, Lantuszka!

Thank you very much for participating in Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month! My apologies for not sending this message sooner – but be assured, your contributions are very valuable!
The organisers welcome you participation. We hope you had fun! Some users faced the notability issues of the suggested articles; we recognise that the list of suggested articles wasn't flawless.
The project is not ended until all worthy participants receive their souvenirs! There will be another message from the organising team soon about this.
Stay safe, we appreciate you being a Wikipedian that you are   -- ViraMotorko (WMUA) (talk) 09:37, 5 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Call for translators

edit

Hello! You received this message because last year you were involved in translating the page of Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month in your language. The 2022 edition of the competition is going to start in one week, and I would like to ask whether you are interested in translating our landing page for this years' contest? We highly appreciate your volunteer work in this regard, and it would mean the world to us if you helped us with translation this year. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. Sincerely,--ValentynNefedov (WMUA) (talk) 11:44, 10 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@ValentynNefedov (WMUA), i see that a lot is already translated - which is great, most of the text is same as last year. I have only a question on links from translated menu box - how to edit their links so e.g. from PL version of menu the link would be redirecting to the (already translated) relevant sub-page? i can't see the option to edit links in translated menu box, only text translation but it does not include code to link... See: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Ukraine%27s_Cultural_Diplomacy_Month_2022/List/pl Lantuszka (talk) 17:54, 13 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi, @Lantuszka:! There is no need to translate these links, because these links run through "Special:MyLanguage" special page, which detects your preference language and displays page in this language, of course, if translation was provided. For example, if I click on any of links in this infobox, it automatically shows me page in Ukrainian. If this does not work for you, maybe, there is a possibility to change the language here Special:Preferences, I don't know, how it works in detail.
