I'm letting you know in advance about a meeting I'd like to invite you to regarding the Universal Code of Conduct and the community's ownership of its future enforcement. I'm still in the process of putting together the details, but I wanted to share the date with you: 10 July, 2021. I do not have a time on this date yet, but I will let you soon. I don't want to derail the conversation, so will respond here instead. The definition of active may be arguable, but there is precedent of IP and new users (which can also count as "active") having their votes counted. - Just like you, I believe that all good users (i.e. no banned users or locked users) should be voting. But I think Billinghurst is probably tired of that user constantly hat collecting. About your action
Hi. I saw the ping you sent me, and I want to explain to you that your action was quite inappropriate. Of course, you might think of this as bold, but this is clearly not so. It's clear what happened when you mark it as done. This was automatically archived, and I marked it on hold to prevent this. Yes, you may not be aware of this intention. But you questioned if I forgot to change status. I didn't simply attach done template for this;

Because I wrote the reason I marked it on hold, you shouldn't change it. And what you left in the edit summary means you didn't see what I left at all. At this point you can't claim it's bold. If you didn't think of it as bold in the first place, the problem is even worse.

You cannot arbitrarily change this because you do not have permission to change it. I'd like to believe that you made a mistake while trying to help a steward in a good way.
You may not know my intentions, or you may not know what practices and procedures exist. But if you don't know, the smartest thing to do is to ask someone a question, not to do it yourself. Your intentions may be good, but if the results are in the way, it's not what you want. Some stewards have noticed that you recently commented on steward's request box. I hope that your good intentions are not distorted and transmitted regardless of your intentions. In that sense, I hope that you will be a little more considerate in the future. I don't want to be blocked globally. Before all of this I was working hard to become a good user on both regular and simple wikipedia and now I have been banned from both and also you have requested I get a global block. I want to be unmanned from both the regular English and simple wikipedia in the near future so please don't do it. MrDanielBryer (talk) 11:17, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

Was about to comment this
+1 for this year wishlist for tech I guess. But if they persist, do re-report, I will be willing to impose a block for it (if it's close to their thanking spree) as blocks are preventative, not punitive and should not be used to convey a message in most cases. We can use wishlist to move mediawiki devs if needed, but well it can be vetoed easily still but some awareness is still better than nothing. I am sure people are annoyed too with thanking en masse. - @Liuxinyu970226: I have no relation with 7elteven in any way or form. I didn't even know this user until I made my first edit to nawiki in March where before I'd only edited the English Wikivoyage. I'll comment on it within the next few days, when my schedule is a bit more freeing, as this does require some research to know the full story (and I mean the full full one, not just a summarised one). - @Taylor 49: had a long read of all this and took some time to think what should be done. sorry for not responding earlier, I've been interstate and haven't had my computer with me. All I would advise is to nuke all pages created by the former admin (it was Pablo I think?), excluding pages in namespace 1 (talk pages) and their userpage and propose an indef ban them for copyvios which is technically breaking the law and WMF's ToS. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 09:02, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
