WCI 2016 is the second iteration of Wiki Conference India to be held at Chandigarh.
Theme
editThe theme of this challenge is to create a logo for WikiConference India 2016. The images can be uploaded using general upload wizard.
Participation
edit- Wikimedians and readers from any language and from any country can participate in this challenge.
- Logo must be uploaded in Commons with the category WikiConference India 2016 logos.
Rules
edit- All images participating in the competition should be created by you. Please do not upload images by others.
- Uploading of eligible images for the challenge should be done between 7th May and 15th May 2016.
- All entries should be under a free copyright license, or release it to the public domain. The preferred license used by the upload wizard is Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).
- All eligible pictures should have an identification. The identification is done by adding the category "Logos for WikiConference India 2016" to the page description of the image.
- Community decision through voting is the final decision.
Prizes
edit- There is no guaranteed prizes for all participants.
- Logos with maximum supports will get WCI 2016 Tshirts.

- Support I think the two should look like the pieces of jigsaw puzzle with matching edges. Also can decrease the space between the two, can also try overlapping the two on a side. edit- I tried to alter...but, the logo with puzzle concept becomes complex and conferred ...as when we use another puzzle piece one puzzle's one or side by side...with tricolors...
- The logo design aesthetics is disturbed... As it should be minimal and universal....
- My opinion: If we add the list of ideas in logo...then it would become illustration.It should be iconic.
- color aspects: My opinion is...Using national identity as secondary ..for universal projects like wiki ...plays well.

Selected Logo
editThe Wiki 'W' in a 3D with Chandigarh identity at the top. The logo in minimal 3D style represents the majesty of the Wikimedia Indian community. Indian tricolor flag represented at the bottom. India, Wiki, Chandigarh : all 3 are symbolised in this logo.
