very typical location for frankfurt, famous for its indigenous athmosphere and kitchen - local specialty is ebbelwoi a type of cider (ähnlich aber netter ist übrigens der Wagner, drei Häuser weiter. v.a. ist der Wagner nicht ganz so touri-überlaufen und das essen ist super (deftig).

Kastell Saalburg

former roman castle at the limes near frankfurt, rebuilt at the end of the 19th century, taberna hall can be rent, really pretty appurtenant structures. Getting there by train is easy and a nice trip with a short walk alongside the limes.
