Discussion
editHello! I have notified Top-26 Wikipedias by number of articles (except for Persian) and also additionally Bashkir, Macedonian, Slovak, Telugu and Bengali Wikipedias (as our landing page is translated into this languages). All confirmations of notification can be found through my SUL.--ValentynNefedov (WMUA) (talk) 12:09, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

edit- I will have a look at it. —DerHexer (Talk) 22:23, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- I've created the campaign and banner as requested, it will start tomorrow. However, due to the ongoing discussion on Russian Wikipedia about the banner campaign, I've excluded the language and geolocation for now. I will follow the discussion closely and will reach out for support on that. Thank you for your patience! Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 23:58, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: I noticed that the image loaded slowly for me, despite having a reasonably fast computer and connection. So I edited it to use the 95px thumbnail image instead of the 2992px source image. -- Tim Starling (WMF) (talk) 00:32, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks DerHexer, feels like a sensible way to proceed. Seddon (talk) 01:13, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: Could you please clarify the status of fawiki? ValentynNefedov (WMUA) told explicitly that they have not notified Persian Wikipedia regarding this issue, but the banner has been raised there too. What does this mean? Thanks 4nn1l2 (talk) 07:41, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. Indeed, I must have overlooked the bracket. Therefore, I've removed fawiki from the list. —DerHexer (Talk) 07:58, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, I excluded Persian wiki, because I could not post message on your local village pump. Regarding the whole situation: this is a cruel coincidence that the start of CentralNotice campaign aligned with the actual invasion. We planned this contest way before the situation intencified. Of course, this is up to communities whether the banner is going to be shown or not. I truly do not not how situation will pan out but I will continue coordinate this campaign.--ValentynNefedov (WMUA) (talk) 09:38, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your clarification! I wish everyone as much peace as possible. —DerHexer (Talk) 09:59, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer:, please change link from Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month to Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month 2022--ValentynNefedov (WMUA) (talk) 14:29, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- Done. —DerHexer (Talk) 14:42, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, @Ciell, DerHexer, Martin Urbanec, Romaine, Steinsplitter, and Ата:! I'm from the Hebrew Wikipedia, and the banner of the Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month 2022 does not exist in the Hebrew Wikipedia. This event is translated into Hebrew, but I still can't se the banner of the event at the top of the main page...
pleas add the banner to the main page on the Hebrew Wikipedia. --Gross2killer (talk) 16:49, 25 February 2022 (UTC)- @Gross2killer: Done, I've added hewiki. We CentralNotice administrators do not check the landing pages or local community discussions whether other Wikipedias have joined the projects or not. Organizers of the campaign (ping @ValentynNefedov (WMUA):) should make us aware of it. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 18:05, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks! I really appreciate it. Gross2killer (talk) 18:06, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
