Hello @Nabin K. Sapkota,

Sharing a recent list of projects (see 2024), that were accessed/ implemented in Nepal. These may be useful as you continue to look for more collaborators within the local and global movement.

Thank you.

Additional questions to your grant application

edit

Hello @Nabin K. Sapkota,

Thank you for your grant application.

We have a few follow-up questions:

1) Re response to question 8 in your grant application, could you share more about your team members? If they have a wiki user page or online presence, would you be able to share the link? We would like to find out more about their wikimedia journey (if applicable), and if they might have any relevant experience in participating in a similar role/ project. This is so that we are able to understand whether you have a team that would be able to support you through the project implementation period. If your team members are new to the movement/ project role, could you provide a brief description on how you plan to onboard them as part of the implementation team?

2) Re response to question 11 in your grant application, could you provide the link to the village pump over ne-wikipedia?

3) Related to your proposed budget, on sound recording and video production for content creation on women's health related issues, could you elaborate more on what do you have in mind in terms of direction, content and deliverables? Apart from content contribution to wikimedia commons, how will these videos be used and how will it contribute to better content, accessibility and exposure to the wider target population?

Thank you for taking a moment to respond to these questions. There may be further questions from the South Asia Regional Funds Committee as we move your application through the review process.

Hi Jacqueline JChen (WMF)

Thanks a bunch for the additional queries. Regarding the aforementioned queries please find the attached answers for the respective questions below:

1) Re response to question 8 in your grant application, could you share more about your team members? If they have a wiki user page or online presence, would you be able to share the link? We would like to find out more about their wikimedia journey (if applicable), and if they might have any relevant experience in participating in a similar role/ project. This is so that we are able to understand whether you have a team that would be able to support you through the project implementation period. If your team members are new to the movement/ project role, could you provide a brief description on how you plan to onboard them as part of the implementation team?

-Regarding the brief details on team members I’ve interlinked their wiki user page in the application. Being a project coordinator I assured their eligibility and understanding about wiki projects referencing my long run collaboration and experiences with my team. Also, in terms of onboarding the team members the team members will be remunerated according to the tasks they’ve allocated under the allotted budget. Apart from that, the core team member will be voluntarily coordinating the different other team members hired to execute the operations during the project implementation.

2) Re response to question 11 in your grant application, could you provide the link to the village pump over ne-wikipedia?

-Yes, I’ve updated the link there.

-First of all, in terms of direction, content and deliverables it will be covered under the video production section executed under core team along with hired staff needed. Regarding the distribution of the contents, we’re planning to distribute the contents prior under Wikimedia commons along with other social media platforms under the specific pages of Wiki Women Brand. The contents now will be developed in Nepali language along with some language spoken in Nepal under possibilities. Also, in regards to the covering of a large audience we will be using the same contents for dubbing in different languages later in the next phase as our contents are eligible for reuse with very minimal changes.

Let me know if there's any additional information required. Regards -Nabin K. Sapkota (talk) 07:07, 23 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
