Sure. wmf:MediaWiki:vector-view-viewsource has been changed to read "feedback"; presumably, this change was intended for the "discussion" tab message, or a related one, and therefore should be reverted. I'm fine with it if you'd prefer not to give me an account, then, though I'm sure I'll notice other things needing fixing as I periodically stumble onto foundationwiki. Please note that the MediaWiki namespace is open to editing by any user on wikimediafoundation.org. Plus be very cautious when changing messages (pages in the MediaWiki namespace). In this case (with wmf:MediaWiki:vector-view-viewsource), it's not clear why it's no longer seemingly taking effect. Until the translation extension is installed on the Foundation wiki, translation work is done here on Meta-Wiki so that many people can collaborate and so that pages can be proofread before being published. Therefore, you do not need an account on the Foundation wiki to help with translations. You can start translating right now by looking at the current translation requests. I would be very happy to approve the request, in keeping with the published rules here, once he points out specific projects upon which he wishes to work. We don't pass out accounts except on an "as needed" basis. If there are specific tasks that he wishes to do, I absolutely support that and will happily approve it. I see nothing in my review to demonstrate that he would be anything but a net asset, but one of the reasons for the recent actions was to clean up the number of inactive accounts, and approving accounts that don't have a stated purpose flies in the face of that. Thanks for volunteering to translate! Until the translation extension is installed on the Foundation wiki, translation work is done here on Meta-Wiki so that many people can collaborate and so that pages can be proofread before being published. Therefore, you do not need an account on the Foundation wiki to help with translations. You can start translating right now by looking at the current translation requests. Just as a point of clarification, it doesn't seem that the Foundation is interested (at least not at present) in translating their wiki - I've been trying to chase them up since at least February, but have not received response. Thehelpfulone 05:55, 30 September 2013 (UTC) [reply]
