Just a thought

When women get to take charge, they do not generally start wars..

Me, also?

I was doing a 'net search tonight on a completely unrelated topic when #SheSaid popped up in the results. I have spent a few hours exploring this initiative. Why is there so little notice on the WP platform about this - since 2020? I would like to contribute, but do not belong to any of the communities you list. On top of that, when I am on WQ AND WM, my user name falls into the Scarlet Letter category and I don't know how to escape that.

One last thing, how could I attempt to add to the project in such a way that the "Gatekeeps That Be" will accept?

I would love to help, but feel inadequate to the task. I looked at the 30 min. tutorial, but the sample page that Ms Anthere worked on was way too small for me to see on my screen. I looked at the webinar, but 1-1/2 hours is just too much for me at present. Again, the screen was way too small.

Thank you for any help (ie: hand-holding) you can lend. Wordreader (talk) 02:44, 3 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea how you could have missed it... but in previous years, we did not do banners and Afek may have done more communication this year?
Honestly... I recommend that you do exactly as I did 3 years ago when I first edited Wikiquote... I looked carefully at already existing pages. And I tried to do the same :))) The one thing to keep in mind is... only add entries of people already on Wikipedia. It does not fix everything, but it goes a long way for the entry to be kept ! Anthere (talk) 18:56, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Internationalization

I made some corrections to the content page tonight. They were minor. I read the guide for making changes to pages that are translated, but after perusing the page history, I am not sure whether I need to up date the <!translateN> where N=integer tags in order that the translation be compiled or executed, so to say. I apologize in advance if I messed up anything. FeralOink (talk) 07:57, 10 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a lot for helping with those tags ! So the way it works is that you add the <translate> or </translate> around the text you want translated. However, you never add the code <!--T:167--> . This is generated automatically by the system when a translator administrator requests it. It should not be used by human beings... Anthere (talk) 00:45, 12 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Here is a starting point to understand better how it works. Do not hesitate to read it, to try, and try again. We need more people capable of doing this right... Anthere (talk) 00:48, 12 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Got it... learning how to put translate banners. For I... the most useful page is this one :mw:Help:Extension:Translate/Page translation example Anthere (talk) 20:21, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
